Welcome to Basket List ("we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website and services (collectively, the "Service"). Basket List is a digital platform designed to help users organize recipes and create shopping lists. The Service allows you to save recipes, manage ingredients, and generate shopping lists to streamline your meal planning and grocery shopping experience.
Basket List offers different account tiers to meet the needs of our users. Each tier has specific features and limitations as outlined below.
Account Tiers and Recipe Limits
Subscription Management: Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically through Stripe unless cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your profile. If access is due to expire after cancellation or failed renewal, a small in-app countdown alert is shown at the top of each route starting 7 days before expiration. Existing lifetime purchases never expire and require no renewal.
Pricing Changes: We reserve the right to modify our pricing structure and subscription plans at any time. Any changes to pricing will be communicated to existing users with reasonable advance notice. Existing subscriptions will be honored at the price paid at the time of purchase.
Fair Use and Account Monitoring: All accounts are subject to our fair use policy and active monitoring. We monitor account usage and activity to ensure optimal performance for all users. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service, use it in ways that negatively impact other users, or violate these Terms. Inactive accounts will be removed in accordance with our deletion policies outlined in Section 7.

Basket List is a tool for organizing recipes. Users must not save, store, or use recipes without proper authorization from the recipe creator or copyright holder. You should only add recipes to your collection that you have:

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Basket List and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You acknowledge that recipes and culinary content may be protected by copyright, and you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any recipes you add to the Service.
You retain ownership of any original content you create and add to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
We retain your account while it remains open. You may delete it through the account controls. We do not currently delete accounts or cookbooks automatically merely because they are unverified, empty, or inactive. Our handling of account deletion and records we may need to retain is described in the Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

We do not guarantee the accuracy of recipes, ingredient information, or nutritional data provided through the Service. Users are responsible for verifying information and consulting appropriate professionals regarding dietary requirements and allergies.
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications will constitute acknowledgment and acceptance of the modified Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
